Jesus should be our ultimate example. I am in awe of how much he was commited to doing the Father's will, and being submissive. Listen to this:
"He must increase, but I must decrease."
This verse is from John 3:30. Jesus was talking about his relationship to the Father. Isn't that amazing! That is a huge challenge to me, to get constantly at the point where I submit my all to God, laying down everything so that He might increase, and I decrease.
Another one is this: Again, this is Jesus talking:
"I can of mine own self do nothing: as I hear, I judge: and my judgement is just; because I seek not mine own will, but the will of the Father which hath sent me." - John 5:30
Yes, I have been reading in John lately:) Actually, it's one of my favorite books. Again, just a very powerful reminder to me that it's good, it's okay, it's needed to trust in the Father, and submit to His will.
